Bumbo Time and Tummy Time

My little sweetie is changing at an alarming rate and I want to capture some of her milestones here before they're too quickly gone. A couple of weeks after we returned from China I borrowed a Bumbo from a friend and what a great help it was!! Hannah was sitting up but would fall over and bump her little noggin quicker than I could get to her. Although we only used it for about a month it was a great help during that time! It gave her much more independance when playing and gave Mommy peace of mind. A win-win situation!!

Once she got to the stage (all too quickly!) that she could crawl out of the Bumbo it was time to take it back to it's home.
Another great toy she enjoyed for a few weeks was this tummy time toy by Lamaze. It was given to me by a friend whose children were done with it and it was a fun way for her to learn to play on her tummy. As you can tell by the end of the video she's now outgrown it as her little legs are super strong and she's rolling like a champ! Her little arms are also stronger so she naturally has tummy time with her toys as she rolls around the floor.

What has replaced the Bumbo and tummy time mat? Foam squares!! Our home has become a home of foam trying to protect her little head. She sits up from layig down like nobody's business but sometimes the going back down isn't quite as graceful, thus the squares of foam!

  5. Love reading your blog and watching how Hannah has progressed since you first got her! Love the socks (look like ballet shoes) in the last photo!!! Do you always call her by her Chinese name or do you call her Hannah? Just curious!
